Monopoly Gamer: Nintendo, I turned a career-defining opportunity into a franchise-wide milestone. As my first major project at Hasbro, I was determined to innovate beyond traditional licensed layouts.
Inspired by the vibrant aesthetics of the Wii U era, I pivoted the visual strategy toward a more immersive experience. I pioneered the first-ever seamless track design, where property sets flow world-to-world across eight levels of a continuous 2D landscape. This visual innovation successfully bridged Nintendo’s iconic mechanics with the Monopoly universe and became the foundational blueprint for the entire Gamer line. My leadership on this initiative was recognized with Hasbro’s 'Way to Go' Award for excellence in innovation.

Determined to move past the static, repetitive layouts of previous licensed games, I set out to create a board that felt like a living level rather than a series of squares. I immersed myself in the Wii U’s Super Mario aesthetics, studying how Nintendo built its iconic worlds to find a way to blend these environments into a single, cohesive visual narrative.
When I presented the first 'track strip' mockup, the reaction was instant: we knew we had found the future of the line. This vision was vetted and enthusiastically approved by Nintendo Seattle and Nintendo Japan, serving as the ultimate validation of the strategy. This 'seamless track' design didn’t just define the first game; it set the visual standard for the entire Monopoly Gamer franchise, including the Collector’s and Mario Kart editions.

Utilizing the Nintendo Evergreen Style Guide, I directed a cover narrative that captures the game's high-stakes energy at a glance. By placing playable characters directly onto my custom 'seamless track,' I simulated the urgency of a race, with Bowser looming in the background to signal the game’s unique boss-battle mechanics. This high-energy composition perfectly bridges the Nintendo and Monopoly universes.

To celebrate the franchise’s iconic villains, I designed a dedicated Boss Card area that functions as a narrative 'teaser.' By creating a dynamic layout where characters appear to be 'spilling out' of the deck, I utilized a visual 'explosion' to build player anticipation. This design choice serves as a clever mechanical nod to the legendary encounters waiting within the deck.

I designed the Power Pack expansions to serve as a seamless extension of the core game experience. By maintaining a consistent visual language across character cards, stickers, and components, I ensured every new hero added to the roster felt like a natural part of the Monopoly Gamer world. This strategic alignment was key to the long-term success and collectibility of the entire expansion line.
